Midmar to Ballito Bay

Thursday, March 13, 2014  Midmar Nature Preserve to Ballito Bay

This morning we went to the beautiful Howith Falls.  We then drove out of the mountains toward Durban and the seashore.  The highway had many drops and turns and runaway truck ramps but the scenery was fantastic. There were lots of beautiful pink and purple flowered trees and loads of farms and crops of sugar cane.

 When we arrived at Ballito Bay at the Dolphin Holiday resort. We had an antelope and some monkeys hanging around our campsite. The trees had these strange weaver bird nests hanging from the tree.  We found one on the ground and it was amazing how well constructed it was.   That evening, we had a BBQ chicken dinner hosted by the campground owners.
